Margie Albert -  Founder and President

Margie Albert is an award winning media professional with over 25 years of experience working in the print, broadcast, radio and online industries.  Albert launched FOCUS ON CUSTOMER SUCCESS in March 2009 and is now dedicated to training broadcast companies and NFP’s on how to use the digital space to grow and meet objectives. Prior, Margie was the Director of Digital Development and Training for Gannett Broadcasting. She was responsible for training the sales staffs in 20 markets and conducting training sessions for many advertising agencies and clients within those markets. Margie’s expertise in digital media training was mastered while working for Gannett’s media properties (The Arizona Republic, KPNX-TV and azcentral.com) in Phoenix, Arizona. There she led integrated media sales teams and authored and launched an employee and client digital media training program.  In these roles, her finely-tuned understanding of advertiser and advertising agency needs enabled her to successfully sell and manage a variety of cross-platform solutions. Her most recent training program resulted in well over $7 million in incremental sales revenue in less than six months. Margie earned the prestigious and highly selective Chairman’s Award at Gannett in 2007 in recognition of her many contributions to the company.

Prior to arriving in Phoenix, Margie was the National Sales Manager at KTHV-TV, Gannett’s CBS affiliate in Little Rock, Arkansas where she developed and implemented the station’s first strategic training program for sales personnel. Margie served as an account executive at KARE11, Gannett’s NBC affiliate in Minneapolis and sold radio advertising for WCCO earlier in her career.  She attended Skidmore College and the University of Arizona where she majored in elementary education and psychology.   

Margie enjoys a number of activities outside of the office, including giving back to her community.  Since 1998, she has served on the Board of Directors of the Arizona Foundation for Women and currently serves on the National Bank of Arizona Non Profit Advisory Council. Margie previously served on the boards for Phoenix Crisis Nursery and Twin Cities Ronald McDonald House.  A former competitive figure skater, Margie currently lives in Phoenix, where she enjoys family, golfing, swimming pools and beautiful Arizona sunsets.
